"Fleurs Des Îles" is JAEYLU Atelier's first collection release since the Fashion House's 2020 Rebranding. Whilst it starkly differs from the "madras" signature of the design house's typical aesthetic, the floral prints and textures highlighted in this collection are still an ode to Saint Lucian Culture.

"Not incorporating madras fabrics was one of the hardest changes for me - it is what I am known for", says the Lead Designer Sharleen J Lagon. "I knew that if I was to pull away from this [madras], I would still need to pay tribute to the culture to be satisfied artistically. Unfortunately, we couldn't land on beautiful fabrics that were explicitly Roses or Marguerite Daisies, but surely the silky spandex chosen gives that Island Floral Flair that we were hoping to achieve", she continued.

The highlight of the collection is the Fêter's Wear pieces. The elaborate bodysuits can function as both party apparel and swimsuits. In fact, the signature piece "Amaryllis" was designed with the Carnival Fêter in mind. It is adorned with hand-stitched flowers and glass beads, but is equally a comfortable wear for a night out on the town or posh-glam social gathering.

The collection also features athleisure and island resort wear. That is to say, there are numerous casual pieces to choose from that can be dressed up with heels and chic accessories for a day out in social settings, or dressed down with sneakers and casual accessories for a run on the town.
